Day 20 John:1-16

“The Last Hour!”

“For the Kingdom of Heaven is like the owner of an estate who went out early one morning to hire workers for his vineyard. He agreed to pay the normal daily wage and sent them out to work. “At nine o’clock in the morning he was passing through the marketplace and saw some people standing around doing nothing. So he hired them, telling them he would pay them whatever was right at the end of the day. At noon and again around three o’clock he did the same thing.  At five o’clock that evening he was in town again and saw some more people standing around. He asked them, `Why haven’t you been working today?” “They replied, `because no one hired us.” The owner of the estate told them, `Then go on out and join the others in my vineyard.’” That evening he told the foreman to call the workers in and pay them, beginning with the last workers first.  When those hired at five o’clock were paid, each received a full day’s wage. When those hired earlier came to get their pay, they assumed they would receive more. But they, too, were paid a day’s wage.  When they received their pay, they protested, `Those people worked only one hour, and yet you’ve paid them just as much as you paid us who worked all day in the scorching heat.” “He answered one of them, `Friend, I haven’t been unfair! Didn’t you agree to work all day for the usual wage? Take it and go. I wanted to pay this last worker the same as you. Is it against the law for me to do what I want with my money? Should you be angry because I am kind?’ “And so it is, that many who are first now will be last then; and those who are last now will be first then.” (John 20:1-16 NLT)

“And so it is, that many who are first now will be last then; and those who are last now will be first then.”  Today, as I look upon many people who are held at high esteem in our Christian society, I am in wonder of how God’s Word states that many who are called first, we be last to enter into his Kingdom. As I we read in the Word of the Lord, we read that Heavens rejoices when the Lost are found, even over those who are saved. In the Story of the Prodigal son, the Father through the feast the Son that returned home, as the Son who was Faithful felt like his Father was being unfair by throwing the feast for the Son who left. The Father celebrated the Lost Son who returned home over, just having a feast for his Faithful Son. So why does the Lord give such High Favor for those who are Lost? This has always been an issue even many today in the Church deal with. It is hard to understand why God would give favor to someone who has done nothing but be an enemy to Him, before Repenting and coming to the Lord. But as we read in John 20:13-14, “I wanted to pay this last worker the same as you. Is it against the law for me to do what I want with my money?”

I pray that we get a clearer understanding of what the Lord is trying to convey here. We all have read about Jesus’ Ministry. He has come to heal the Sick and not the Healthy. If I am a doctor, wouldn’t I sick to cure the patient of Cancer? And when I cured him, wouldn’t we rejoice that he no longer had the disease! In this same way, if God has blessed you with great health in your life, why should be upset with those who had were sick before being healed by him. As John reads,” Is it against the law for me to do what I want with my Money?” Salvation doesn’t come from any where else but from the Lord, he is the judge of who shall enter into his kingdom or not. We are all called to do God will at different times in our Life. Let us not be judges, but answer’s of God. When he calls upon your name in that Hour, answer him by saying, “I am here Lord!” For even those who are called in the eleventh hour and paid the same wages.

Day 19 1 Kings 19:4-5

“When you Feel Like Giving Up!”.

“Then he went on alone into the desert, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my ancestors.” Then he lay down and slept under the broom tree.” (1 Kings 19:4-5).

“I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life…”  Are you tired? Oh, if someone told you the trials and tribulations that you have to face when accepting Christ into your life, would you have ran away into the desert? Even today, I speak to many Christians who feel beat up. They have been so faithful for some long that sometimes they long to bypass living in this world and long to worship Our Father in Heaven. Some long to be just like Elijah and ask that the Lord take the Breath away from them.
.
But what did the Lord do? He sent an Angel to Feed Elijah. Why didn’t God let Elijah die as he requested, because God has a greater plan than death. For the Lord let Elijah rest, but soon the Father Call him to the mountain to see His Glory. Beloved, I know there are many of us at different stages in our life. So many Christians today feel like they are dead to God and His purpose for their life, but I tell you this, you are not dead, but sleeping underneath the broom tree! If it was Gods will for you to die, you would be dead, But God has kept you and sustains you even through all your circumstances.
.
“And he did deliver us from Death and will continue to deliver us.” (2 Corinthians 1:10) God will never forsake you. He has delivered you from death and he will continue to deliver you. Elijah lay under the tree and asked to die, but God did not take his life, he sustained it. Never give up! God is calling that in this time of Pressure and in this time of need, we should be broken and down on our knees in Prayer.
.
“While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could deliver him out of death. And God heard his prayers because of his reverence for God. So even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.” (Hebrew 5:7-8)
.
“With a Loud cry and tears…Jesus was God’s Son; he learned obedience from the things he suffered.” Even the Jesus Cried and Suffered, how much more do we suffer? It is by loud cries and tears that the Lord answers our prayers and pleading. If you are feeling the pressure to give up, cry out to Jesus. Cry out to our Father in Heaven to send his Angel to be by your side. Elijah thought he was running away from the Father in the Desert to die, but what he didn’t realize that he was running into the arms of the Lord. Even when you are feeling the pressure to give up, know that the Lord is not ready for you to give in. Believe, Believe, Believe! Rise up, for the Lord your God’s purpose for your Life and it was not death, but and eternity with Our Father in Heaven!

Day 16 Romans 11:3-6

“Chosen By Grace”
.
“Lord They have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left and they are trying to kill me! And what was God’s answer to him? I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal. So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by Grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were by works, Grace would no longer be Grace.” (Romans 11:3-6)
.
“Lord They have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left and they are trying to kill me!” Everyday we are called to face some situation in which the enemy is trying to receive victory in our life. It can be as simple as waking in the morning to go to work or sending doubt your way about the things the Lord has promised you. Even through all this, we are quick to look outside ourselves at the people around us, to judge our situation. Especially those who we feel will aren’t doing the things of the Lord. Even though we are enduring a lot, it just seems like the body isn’t doing all that it can. “And what was God’s answer to him? I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” See, this is what so awesome about God; Even through all turmoil that we see around us, he has unseen people Chosen to do His Will. So what does that mean for us?  “So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by Grace.” And all God’s People say Amen! We should rejoice in the fact that it was by Grace that saved us and not by works!
.
“And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were by works, Grace would no longer be Grace.” And this is what it means that God’s Grace is sufficient for our Lives. For it was not for Grace, we would be never be redeemed in the Lord. This is why Jesus came and was among those who were viewed as outsider, outcast and just forgot. He brings a Message of Hope, because it is not by works that we receive this salvation. Believe today in God’s Chosen Grace, for when you do, your life will never be the same.

Day 14 Job 1:14-22

“Bad Day?”

.“A messenger arrived at Job’s home with this news: “Your oxen were plowing, with the donkeys feeding beside them, when the Sabeans raided us. They stole all the animals and killed all the farmhands. I am the only one who escaped to tell you. “While he was still speaking, another messenger arrived with this news: “The fire of God has fallen from heaven and burned up your sheep and all the shepherds. I am the only one who escaped to tell you. “While he was still speaking, a third messenger arrived with this news: “Three bands of Chaldean raiders have stolen your camels and killed your servants. I am the only one who escaped to tell you. “While he was still speaking, another messenger arrived with this news: “Your sons and daughters were feasting in their oldest brother’s home. Suddenly, a powerful wind swept in from the desert and hit the house on all sides. The house collapsed, and all your children are dead. I am the only one who escaped to tell you. “Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship God. He said,” I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be stripped of everything when I die. The Lord gave me everything I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!” In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God. (Job 1:14-22 NLT)

.

So, to recap what happened to job; first the Sabeans raided and killed his farm animals and employee. Second, a fire fell from heaven and burned up his sheep and shepherds. Third, a band of Chaldean raiders came and stole his camels and again killed his servants. Fourth, his son’s and daughters were dining together when a mighty wind swept up and collapsed the house and killed them all.  And to add insult to injury, there was always one person who was left to tell him the news of what happened. But through all this, even the death of his children, Job praised the Lord. “Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship God.” I don’t know what bad report someone has delivered to you or one that you have received, but I am here to tell you that through it all, we should still praise the Name of the Lord.
.
Many of us who are fighting the good fight may ask why these things happen if we are striving to work in the kingdom of the Lord. The answer is quite simple, Just as Job says, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be stripped of everything when I die. The Lord gave me everything I had, and the Lord has taken it away.”  Everything we have is a blessing from God and we should regard it that way, but when it is no longer with us, we should praise him for what we still have. We came in this world with nothing and when we die, we don’t even take our flesh in blood with us either! Job understood a simple principle, that if God blessed me before, he will continue to bless me. “Praise the name of the Lord!” In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God.” I know when things continually go wrong, it is easy to put it off on the Lord, but take courage! Know that trails are sent to test character and it is by character that will get you through those bad days.

Day 11 Hebrews 13:8

“Jesus Christ, Never Changing!”
.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”(Hebrews 13:8)
.
For too long we have been human’s living a Spiritual experience instead of Spirit’s living through a human experience.  Many have argued that Jesus did miracles only for the moments of His earthly Ministry. But in His final Hours before He was Hung upon the Cross, Jesus prayed, “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be ONE, Father, just as you are in me and I AM in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be ONE as we are ONE…(John 17: 20-22)”
.
Just as the Father was in Jesus, Jesus says we are in him. We need to wake up to the understanding that by Him all things are possible! In God’s Word it says He is the same as He has been for eternity. The same power and Authority that He carried in His ministry has been passed on through generation to generation by His Spirit. “I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be ONE as we are ONE…” God is calling for you today to become ONE with him.  I was deep in Prayer and the Lord spoke to my about this generation. He said the problem isn’t Abortions, Adultery, Debauchery, Masturbation, Lust, Gluttony, sloth, Pride or even Envy; it’s Love and the Faith to Believe! People are dying and it is because they truly don’t feel or know the true Love of the Lord. We are living in a time where people can married and then walk away from a marriage with no fear or consequence. People will go to Church and fall in Love with a message on Sunday and be ONE with the Lord, then divorce him on Monday.  Instead of addressing this issue, we try and fight the fruits, when we need to be destroying these things at the root.
.

God wants more than the next great crusade. God wants more than the next great youth conference. He wants a movement of Praise, Prayer and Fasting from a generation that He has called to Be ONE with Him! I declared today that you stop living a life as a Human. Break away from the flesh that is holding you back from becoming ONE with the Father. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” I pray you get a vision on a True Love that is never changing.

Day 9 2 Kings 2:8-9

“The Great Divide”
.
“Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground. When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what I can do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.”(2 kings 2:8-9)
.
So much meat and revelation, I hope you are ready to receive! I have title this devotional the Great Divide, because I see there is a division of what the Bible teaches and what men have been preaching. I had an encounter with God in which I vowed before Him that I would preach His Word. We are living in a day and time where Hollywood has became more astonishing than the kingdom of God. The problem lies in showing people the True Word of the Bible. We have watered down the milk to the degree where meat is close to impossible to chew. “Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground.” Now, most people are familiar with Moses parting the Red Sea and getting across it, thinking that was a onetime event. As we have read here, Elijah stuck the water with His cloak and the Water Divided also! Now, you much understand what the Lord is showing us here. Not only was the water parted, but the land in which he crosses was dry.
.
God has made a provision of Faith which is whole. It would have been amazing for Elijah to cross the water and if the ground was muddy and no one would say it took away from the miracle. But Elijah knew in His Heart that when the Lord parted the waters, the ground would be dry. This is the Faith that God calls us to operate in. “Tell me, what I can do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.” Why are people so afraid for asking for a double portion? The Lord Word says we have not because we ask not. I used to think it was a spirit of fear that held people back, but God show me it’s a lack of Faith in Believing in a Double Portion of His Spirit.
.
“Then Elisha took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the water with it.” Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over.”(2 Kings 2:14) Again we see the power and authority to part the waters was passed on Because Elisha called to God to be shown that He was with him. I know by Gods’ Word that this is for us today. It is not the fact that these things aren’t available, we as a people have not cried out for them. In Jesus Name, Pray for the Double portion to be upon you today!

Day 7 Luke 9:1-6

“The Healing Ministry”

“One day Jesus called together his twelve apostles and gave them power and authority to cast out demons and to heal all diseases. Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the coming of the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. “Don’t even take along a walking stick,” he instructed them, “nor a traveler’s bag, nor food, nor money. Not even an extra coat. When you enter each village, be a guest in only one home. If the people of the village won’t receive your message when you enter it, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave. It is a sign that you have abandoned that village to its fate.” So they began their circuit of the villages, preaching the Good News and healing the sick.” (Luke 9:1-6)
.
“When I read this, I am reminded of whose Name has True power. It was before Jesus sent His disciples out to preach the Word that He first anointed them with Power and Authority. This Promise extended to all those who receive the Baptism of Jesus. Now, I don’t know about you, but this should set a fire within you that should never go out! We have been given Authority over every sickness and disease and called to cast out not one, not two, but all demons in Jesus Name!
.
“Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the coming of the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” These mighty men were not only called to preach about the power of God, but to show signs and wonders to accompany them. It seems that in this day and age, most people are so eager to preach the Word, but when it comes to signs of wonder, most people are cautious to act on. We have to have Faith in God’s Word and when it comes time to spread The Gospel, we have to believe without a doubt that these signs will accompany us. “So they began their circuit of the villages, preaching the Good News and healing the sick.” The healing ministry of The Lord has never changed. We are called to preach, cast out demons and heal the body of Christ. The Lord has called us to do great things, but these things will not be done if we do not seek to the fullness of The Lord.

Day 4

“Asleep, Not Dead.”
.
So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, “Lord, the one you love is very sick.” But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it is for the glory of God. I, the Son of God, will receive glory from this.” Although Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, he stayed where he was for the next two days and did not go to them. Finally after two days, he said to his disciples, “Let’s go to Judea again.” (John 11:3-7 NLT)
.

Lord, the ones you Love are very sick. I want to pray for everyone who has accepted our Lord Jesus Christ into their Heart, Mind, Body and Soul. For there was a time that we all needed to be healed and cried out to the Lord. Our Prayers are like Messages up to Heaven. Our Father listens to our cries and just like here in John, Jesus says that our sickness will not end in Death and God will Receive Glory from this.

,

I know that God answers Prayers. For years I had a friend who struggled with drinking, partying and drugs. He was apart of that scene for such a long time and really saw no way out. I kept assuring him that God was ready to show his Glory in his Life, but he needed to be ready to believe. When Jesus heard that Lazarus was sick, did he go straight to Judea? No, He waited two days and then he went. Why wait two days, when he knew that Lazarus was sick and needed to be healed right then?

,

But don’t we all face this situation? My friend needed to be saved from his life style and there were many times when I was on my last dollar that I needed the Lord to come to me in the moment. It is a time like these that we feel that the Lord is not by our side, but we must understand that the Lord knows everything and his Will is made complete. As we read on, Jesus says, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but now I will go and wake him up. (John 11:11)

.

Thank you Jesus! For I once was Blind Now I can see! I once was dead, but The Lord says I was Just asleep! Don’t you know that Lazarus was in the grave for four days!? And when Jesus came, he resurrected him and brought forth life! Beloved I don’t care what your situation looks like; Drugs, Alcohol, Sexual immorality and any addiction. I tell you the Truth; you are not dead to the Most High God! If Jesus can rise a man from Death, he came rise you out of your situation. It was for Gods Glory that Jesus Brought Lazarus back to Life and if you believe this Day, I tell you that if you seek to be an example of Gods Glory, he will rise you out of your situation today!

.

Just like Jesus waited until the Fourth Day to Rise Lazarus, He is looking for others who are viewed as dead to the World to rise up for Gods Glory! Let us not ever believe the Lost are dead, because they are the ones that Jesus is looking for. Have a renewing of Faith Today knowing that God is glorified when you are rised and resurrected from your old self. Rejoice, for the world is not dead in Jesus Name, But sleeping and the Lord is coming to Wake the World up!

Day 3 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

“Life in Christ!”

“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit.  We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
.
“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken.” I know for many of us, this statement truly hits to the heart of us. I may not know exactly what you are going through in this hour or season, but for those who seek to be righteous for the Lord, there is always some form of trouble that is coming at you from every direction. Even when we feel like we have been crushed or defeated, our Faith is always reaffirmed in God. I know many times we get tired and feel like we are not living up to the standards of the Lord, but do not lose heart, because the Lord knows our sincere motives to serve Him. “We are perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit.” It is so easy to give up. The devil is constantly putting obstacles in your way to tell you that you can’t live this life for Christ or that it is impossible to fully obtain the Vision God put on your Heart. If we gave in every time the enemy told us we could not accomplish something, we would have failed years ago.
.
“We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going.” This is the Life that we have chosen. The day you accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior in your life, you chose a side against evil. We have a real enemy and for those who do not know, we are always in spiritual warfare. There is nothing fair about what goes on in life, but with the strength of the Lord, we can make a change for the better. No where in the bible does it says that this walk would be easy, but the race is worth the prize. We may stumble, Fall or even get knocked down, but Jesus is always there with his hand ready to pick us back up again.

Day 2 Colossians 3:12-14

Clothed in Love

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity.” (Colossians 3:12-14)

“Therefore, as God’s Chosen people…” by this line alone we are called to rejoice. For we were once an enemy to the Lord; but by the Blood of Jesus, we have became God’s Chosen. As God’s Chosen, we are called to be Clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness humility, gentleness and patience. Now, I many will read this and go along with your day, but there is a deeper meaning the Lord wants you to understand. What does it mean when you “Clothe” yourself? Well it is just the same as when you get up in the morning to dress for work. It is one thing to forget your belt or even your wallet in morning; but to show up to your job without any clothing on, would be just crazy! But this is the point Paul was trying to get across. Everyday, before we leave the house, we should clothe ourselves with the righteous qualities of the Lord. God wants us clothe with these qualities for a very important reason.

“Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity.” We are all called to forgive, because you have been forgiven. Forgiveness of the Heart only comes when you are clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. But Paul says, “Over all these virtues put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Beloved, let Love be the standard of the Day. Every morning you wake, my prayers be that you are Clothe in all these virtues and that forgiveness is in your Heart. With all these things together, you will find that you are in perfect unity with the Will of the Lord. Clothe yourself in Love and watch the Peace of Christ reign in your life today.
